Lviv is a beautiful city in western Ukraine! As for me, Lviv is a
cultural center of my country. It is really worth seeing. You will
be impressed by its narrow streets and its historic center. The
architecture make Lviv one of the best places in Europe. I call this
city little Dresden. Lviv is also a place where you can drink the
tastiest coffee in Ukraine!!!
There are a lot of places to visit, but I recommend you to visit Lviv Picture Gallery, Lviv National Opera and to walk through the city.
I also advice you to visit some restaurants and cafes, as:
- Gasova Lyampa. This cafe is a little museum of the kerosene lamp. There are hundreds of them. Here you can tasty and not expensive eat.
- Kryjivka. When the uniformed guard opens the door and says “Slava Ukraini” (Glory to Ukraine), you have to answer “Geroyam slava” (Glory to its heroes). It is something like a password. Here you can taste different Ukrainian dishes and feel the spirit of Lviv.
- Mazoh-Café Café in Lviv. Have you ever heard about Leopold von Sacher – Masoch? In front of the cafe there is his monument. You have to put your hand in his pocket and you'll feel something...
The walls of the café are decorated with objects of masochistic entertainments. There are also some erotic pictures on the walls. You'll be impressed by the atmosphere in it!
- Cafe №1.
Visit Lviv and you'll be deeply impressed by its spirit!
